You never want to see a quad antenna like this !!!
During night between 18 to 19 Febbruary 2004, a big snow-storm, with high wind and lot of snow and ice, made the disaster, here follow some pictures of my quad showing how the snow-storm made it in so sorry state, i had in the past some problems in high wind with guyed 40m. Quad arms , time to time some guy wire interferd with the other 20m. arms but never something very serious, now the Quad has broken arms as you see in the pictures, it happened to me hi hi, shurely i will not be the last to suffer in the amateur community, now still snowing, i'm waiting for better weather conditions to slide down the hazer and check the real damages, at a first glance the antenna does not seem recoverable, the 6m to 20m Mart Quad seems has not suffered too much, i'm thinking to leave the 40/30 m. Quad heavy damaged and replace them with 30 and 40m. Yagis.
